Sled Blue River, BC

Just 90 km South of Valemount

SledBlueRiver was established in the early 1990s as a social club bringing local riders together to enjoy the deep snow and incredible backcountry. Since then the club has evolved and taken a strong leadership role for the development of recreational tourism in the Blue River area. We are a professional, organized and volunteer lead crew that are passionate about outdoor recreation and are focused on making Blue River a premier destination in British Columbia.

What a season. Just when it was getting good, a warm stretch would slow us back down! But, we did our best and I know I had some fantastic days. I look forward to next season already.

Due to limited low valley snow we are not longer able to maintain our trail network. SBR has made the decision to close our operations early.

We thank everyone for the 2024 season. We thank all our sponsors for the amazing support for our club and the industry this year. Your financial support is so important and I encourage everyone reading this to review ours sponsor list and support those that support your club. So important.

Start your snow ritual for next season now! Lets make it one to remember!

As expected, the lower than average snow fall on the lower levels of our trail network have been difficult to manage during the spring warm up. We are no longer able to groom the network at Finn and as such we have ceased operations for those zones. Our Red Sands trail and Fingers trail have held up so far. We will continue to update you as conditions change. Once you do get a little higher there is still riding to be had and with spring approaching and a sunny weekend it is certainly worth a visit for some spring riding!

With the warm weather grooming operations have started to be difficult once again. Red Sands and Fingers have had recent shaves. White River is now closed due to logging.

Cross your fingers for a little late season snow and cooler temps!

The snow at the top is still great! Do play safe though as the avy conditions have risen.

Winter seems to be hanging on for now! Our team has been working hard to keep the trails as smooth as possible with the cooler temperatures.

Unfortunately, a croud favourite zone, White River, will be closed for the remainder of the season due to active logging. We will work to have a side trail of sorts to access the North Blue Zones but we are not able to to do the same for White River. The road up is just too narrow to make alternate plans.
