Conditions in the alpine are incredible in Blue River. We groomed White River and Red Sands this week. We hope to get to Coulees over the weekend.

Finn had been a challenge with logging and we are passing the information along as best we can. At this point there will be no industrial traffic over the weekend. They "might" have to grade it Sunday night but that should happen after we have left the mountain. There will be equipment retrieval Monday Tuesday and Wednesday of next week but they tell me the truck will be off the road by 9am each day.
We will update this as we can and we are sorry for the confusion. Coordination is tough and goes through a few channels. Fingers crossed we get the call on Wednesday that the logging is done for the season!

White River has been groomed.

There will be active logging until Dec 13, 2019 at Finn Creek. The road up is graded so if you are planning on going that way please be sure you have a radio on RR 26 as you will not be able to sled up the road.
This is an ever changing situation for us so we will provide updates as we are able.
Keep in mind the other zones are looking great!

Our groom team is up and running in Blue River!

They were able to groom Red Sands today and if we get the snow that is expected in the forecast we hope to work on Coulees and White River.
At this point logging remains active at Finn Creek until Friday 13, 2019. We will update that information as we are able.

We would like to thank everyone that has come to Blue River to ride over the past weekend! While the snow in the valley has not allowed for grooming, we felt the trails were in pretty good shape and the snow in the alpine has been fantastic so we opened the doors.

We have our groomers in place and the team is ready to go. With the cool weather and the potential for snow later in week we are hoping to get the trails groomed as soon as mother nature allows.

Hello Members,

The Finger Bowls are now open until April 14, 2019.  This is a special TEMPORARY opening.

Please check in at the Red Sands booth as it is very important that we monitor the number of riders. At the booth there is a permit and map you can take a photo of and should have with you while riding in this zone. We have attached a PDF of the permit you can download as well.
Please monitor this website for updates as things may change over the next few days with snow levels etc.
Of course, we appreciate any donations as these funds help our crew work with BC recreation and environment to make such openings possible.
Thank you!

SPECIAL OPENING:  Blue River Powder Packers and our partners in BC Recreation have worked together to create a 3 day temporary opening of the Finger Bowls! The zone will be open April 5, 6, 7, 2019. We hope to provide a little more information for parking and access on Thursday. Thank you riders for all your support this year!

CLOSURE ALERT

Due to earlier than expected Caribou migration Coulees and North Blue (anything past White River) is closed.

This was a little unexpected but we do put our support behind the provincial Caribou strategies and this is one small way we can help with the cause.
We are continually working with our partners in the government and recreation to come up with strategies that will support wildlife but also allow us access to the great zones we have here in Blue River.
We appreciate the support our riders have given over the season with memberships, trail fees, and sponsorships.  We couldn't do it without you!
