Area Overview
Groundhog East offers terrain for both new and expert riders. From sub-alpine meadows and small rolling hills to steeper technical riding towards the south Groundhog East will not disappoint.

There are 21 km’s of groomed trails to access this zone. This trail is groomed regularly, weather permitting.
Wildlife Closures
A Mountain Caribou herd is known to occupy this area and the surrounding terrain. In effort to support the governments Mountain Caribou recovery program SledBlueRiver sends out a weekly patrol to search for recent Caribou activity. If evidence of Caribou in the zone is found the zone will be closed for a minimum of 7 days. This information will be shared with the ridership via social media and at the trail head booth. Any signs of recent Caribou activity should be reported to info@sledblueriver.com.
