Good Morning All!
Well, the start of season sure has been tricky over the past few years. Thank you for your patience.
The SBR board of directors has decided to start operations Friday December 12 with a “soft open”. What does this mean? It means we have cleared the parking areas and will have staff at the Red Sands booth and Finn Booth. We have updated the website areas https://sledblueriver.com/sled-areas/ to note that White River, Red Sands and the Finn zones are open.
However, due to the forecast our grooming team is not able to groom access to the alpine. This is a forwarding thinking decision to ensure the trail network is in a good position before holidays. With the warm temperatures predicted for Monday and the potential for significant rain in the low valley they feel that holding off on grooming is the best move to preserve the snow we do have.
Start of the season is always a dance with with Mother Nature!
Please be sure to check in with a booth attendant regardless. They will accept donations for the club. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
It is going to be an amazing weekend in Blue River. Amazing snow and our first Pub Night will make this weekend a memorable one for you!
See you soon.
PS: Your grooming team is watching the weather closely and if cool temps allow for quick groom of the trails it will be done! We will update the website accordingly.
